The Australian Perth Mint’s signature bullion coin series, the Australian Kangaroo, has been struck in 99.95% pure platinum!
The 2026 Platinum Kangaroo coin honors the classic design which has been featured on the Australian Kangaroo Gold kilo, and in Silver 1 oz coins starting in 2016. The reverse of the coin shows the classic Australian icon, the red kangaroo surrounded by rays of sunlight. The words, "AUSTRALIAN KANGAROO" are inscribed on the coin, as well as The Perth Mint’s "P" mintmark and the year of the coin are also included in the design. The obverse features the official effigy of His Majesty King Charles III, designed by Dan Thorne and the denomination of 100 AUD. This coin is issued as legal tender under the Australian Currency Act of 1965. Individual coins come in protective plastic capsules.
